Do you perceive eating food as sustenance for your body, or is it about relieving stress, anxiety, depression or other emotional challenges? If you overeat, ask yourself why? What is it about gorging on six pieces of pizza? It’s not that you’re out of control. You’re just feeling starved! Most often, that feeling comes from not eating on a regular basis. When you’re feeling that way, your body believes you need LOT’S to eat. Tip: Snacking several times a day, keeps the starvation monster away.

Here are some tips for people that need to lose weight:

Eat smaller portions, more often, each day. I suggest a decent breakfast, snack at mid morning, small lunch, snack at mid afternoon, reasonable dinner and nothing to eat after 7 pm.

Don’t even start healthy weight loss systems if you aren’t serious.  Toss out every mirror in the house, the scales and all those clothes that don’t quite fit anymore. You know you need to lose weight, but the up and down weight loss Yo-Yo is too hard on your body and even harder on your psyche. You’ll feel like a failure, and who needs that burden on top of everything else going on in your life!
